I made this little video for you while I was driving the other morning. I think it might help!

If you’ve ever felt dominated by negative thinking and a very weak belief in yourself and your ability, then it’s absolutely essential that you learn how to remove toxic/negative thoughts and the belief system that’s feeding & producing those thoughts.

Truth is, you’re capable of much more than you’re currently achieving. If you want to move forward with your life, achieve success, wealth and happiness… If you want to have more fun and freedom then you need to remove the self-imposed limits you’re putting on yourself. By affirming your self-abasing, negative thoughts, you’re in effect, affirming that you’re less than you really are. This is simply not true.

There is no difference between the happy, free and wealthy person and you when it comes to ability. There are “uneducated” guys out there breaking the million dollar in 24 hour mark. It’s possible, and it doesn’t take an enormous amount of creativity. It takes drive.

You have to want to change your life. You have to want fun, freedom, and wealth. You have to want to be happy. It isn’t until you make the decisions to do or be so that you’ll stat to change. Everything is possible in life, as long as you have the desire and determination.

Make a decision to be free, wealthy, and happy.

You absolutely CAN do it.

Imagine, you step out of your car, walk down the short metal ramp, onto the dock. You untie your small boat, get in, start up, and pull away. You travel through a short maze of anchored boats offshore, and 5 minutes later you arrive. Lifestyle design dream!

You dock, tie up, and step out of the boat onto your private island.

Mike lives a cool life. He walks around all day in knee length khaki shorts, no shirt, no shoes. He’s got a deep tan, and he’s fit. He’s a simple guy, loves quiet, the ocean, and kite-surfing. He’s involved with an excellent beach restoration project http://www.beachrecovery.com/ . (If you’re interested in seeing an incredible project that “gives back”, then definitely have a look. I love the idea!)

privateislandpost
So, Mike. He lives a good lifestyle. He doesn’t own this private island off the coast of CT., he works there. He’s worked there for 13 years! He lives well, loves his job, and can’t imagine living away from the ocean.

It doesn’t take a fortune, or great wealth, to live your dream life. It takes a little initiative, some resourcefulness, and creativity. All of which, everyone has. Everyone! Couldn’t you get a job as a bartender on some Carribean island? Why not? I know why.

The only thing holding you back, and limiting your possibilities, is your fear. Your fear is dampening your creativity and your ability to think outside the box. I encourage everyone to challenge their fear. At first it’s hard! Really hard! But if you have the NEED to live a better life, and you won’t settle for living a run of the mill existence, if you MUST change something in your life now, if you’re not feeling a true sense of fulfillment with the path you’re on, then the first thing you HAVE to do is challenge yourself! Maybe you haven’t hit your breaking point yet, the point which FORCES you to action. You don’t necessarily need to be there to succeed at designing your life the way YOU want. You DO need to feel a solid DESIRE to live better, much better.

Look at Mike. At some point in his life, he jumped on the opportunity of a lifetime. He designed his life, by taking a risk. Take a risk, dream BIG, and try to break out into possibility by challenging your fear of success. Be a black sheep, and reap the rewards. Black sheep, sunbathing by the ocean, on a beautiful white sand beach, drinking coconut milk… Nice image, huh? :0)blacksheep

Here’s a copy of an email FWD I just received. I think it holds some valuable lessons

Especially for those who live in busy, fast-paced cities, like myself.

I’m out in Tucson, AZ right now, for a friend’s wedding. I’m having a great time, busy, relaxing, seeing beautiful things, and learning a lot. It’s good to unwind sometimes. Sometimes busyness (the cups of tea, and sand) help you re-align focus, determine priorities, rid anxieties, and all in all get back on track.

Remember…..

When life seems difficult, your dreams are having trouble manifesting, you feel confused as to how to do something, or even what to do next, the matters of real importance need to take priority. By harmonizing the important things in life, you will gain the clarity necessary to accomplish the little things…

Enjoy the post…

TWO CUPS OF TEA:

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough,

remember the mayonnaise jar and the 2 cups of tea…
A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.
The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full.

They agreed it was.
The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.
Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous “yes.”
The professor then produced two cups of tea from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.
“Now,” said the professor, as the laughter subsided, “I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life…
The golf balls are the important things; your family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions; things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.
The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car.
The sand is everything else; the small stuff.
“If you put the sand into the jar first” he continued, “there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.
Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take your partner out to dinner. Play another 18 holes. Do one more run down the ski slopes.
There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal. Take care of the golf balls first; the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.”
One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the tea represented.
The professor smiled. “I’m glad you asked. It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem, there’s always room for a couple of cups of tea with a friend.”

Share this with some friends and family. I just did….

Lifestyle Design

Lifestyle design

Imagine designing your life any way you want…

What if you could change any one thing in your life; what would you change?

Would it be the money?

The people in your life?

Would you get married?

Find some environmental cause to devote yourself to?

I’ve written about what it takes to live your life according to your passion in life. I’ve written about how to reach high, create goals, etc…. This time I’ll yap about lifestyle design a little. Lifestyle design is what this site is really all about.

Call it what you will… Dreaming Big. Having aspirations, and goals…

Living an alternate lifestyle, lifestyling, nonconformist lifestyling (my personal favorite :0) All in all this Is, again, lifestyle design.

All throughout history there have been people who have stepped out from the norm, designed their own lives, and experienced the liberation and intensity of designing their own lives. These people were often nonconformists in the sense that they couldn’t just subscribe to some common ideology, social culture, or the attendant social expectations.

I’m a huge advocate of lifestyle design. When you create your own ideal life, you’re in command of the ship. If it’s the beach life/ beach culture you’re after, then you can steer that ship right to some warm, paradisiacal island somewhere, in the middle of some remote ocean corner somewhere near the equator.

If it’s your life you want to live (granted, you’ve discovered what you’re passionate about already) then why waste your time remaining a slave to some lifestyle your culture, peers, politicians, or education system has dictated to you? Why would you do this to yourself?

Design your own life. Use the tools available on this site to keep track of your goals. Have aspirations. Live morally. Live rich. Live however you want. Live well.

This IS The Big Gay Bandit video. It was a joke I played on my sister when i was looking for feedback on a possible recording environment. I got a good rise out of her when she was hit with it unexpectedly. I showed a couple other friends, and one of them (a Mac “Genius”, who lives in a dorm style house with other Mac “Genius’”) did some edits to the video, making me sort-of dance….  Yes, that video is of ME.

I threw the original and their edits together, with some music by Bluetech, to make a funny little video…

Behold!

This is the return of the Big Gay Bandit! lol  nooooo…. I’m not gay, just a bit weird :)

Sometimes it’s good to take a break from productivity. It helps to clear the head, get a fresh perspective, and new ideas. I’ve been accused, countless times, of “working” too much. God forbid! I guess it’s not work when you love what you’re doing.

So, as a break to my productivity, and “Do What I Love” book marketing, you’re hit by the Big Gay Bandit video. Enjoy!

Hahahahahaha!!!  If you loooove comedy, you’ll love this. Grab a copy of THIS joke book!

Here’s to your not taking yourself too seriously, to better your unconventional success!
